I’ll start eating healthy on Monday. I’ll start going to the gym when the kids go to school. I just have too much on my plate to focus on eating healthy and exercising.

How often have you heard these or said them yourself? I have news for you. Until you are dead, you are never not going to be stressed and busy. As one part of your life changes (like children moving out) another part of your life changes, too (like now you have more time to travel with your significant other.)

When you finally realize that stress is inevitable and a part of life, you can put that aside as an excuse. In reality, exercising and eating healthy is a natural way to defend against stress and the toll it takes on your body.

Having a healthy life means making better choices. It means figuring out what works for you and then implementing that in to your daily life. In the beginning, you will have to create a plan and figure out when you are going to exercise and how you are going to eat better. Once you have that figured out, then you just make those healthful choices everyday. And if you screw up one day, or even two, you just jump right back in to doing the things you know make you feel great!

Don’t prolong starting a plan to live a healthier life. Start today! Find one healthy habit you can add and focus on that. Time keeps passing and nothing changes if nothing changes.
